Admissions Criteria

CACS seeks to admit the best students with the highest potential to utilize our resources. The criteria below are just a minimum standard; the college prefers candidates with levels of aptitude and experience that will enable them to maximize their potential for success and collaborate with the college’s research goals.

Credits for Completion

Dissertation 48 credits

Entry Requirements

Applicant must hold a degree at the MSc/MA level in the social sciences or other relevant fields from an institution approved by the Office of the Higher Education Commission of Thailand

Work Experience

Minimum of three years of work experience in the ASEAN context of research, development, policy analysis, and strategic management

English Language Requirement
(one of the following)

  • TOEFL (Paper based) no less than 513
  • TOEFL (Computer based) no less than 183
  • TOEFL (Internet based) no less than 65
  • IELTS (Academic) no less than 6.0 overall
  • Cambridge Placement Test online no less than B2 (60-64)
  • Other qualifications: Scores from other institutional tests of English which are equivalent to TOEFL or IELTS (on a case-by-case basis)

Research Proposal

2,000 – 2,500 words

Graduation Expectation

  • 2 Research publications in a SCOPUS journal
  • 2 Research presentations
  • 80% class attendance
  • Pass final examinations

Credits for completion

Dissertation 36 credits +
Coursework 12 credits
